Abstract:
In this commentary I will discuss two aspects of Gosseries’ work that are relevant for defining climate duties. First, I will explore the goal of climate agreements that are intended to limit global average temperature increase to a maximum of 2°C, which Gosseries criticizes. Then I will discuss his proposal of “teaching frugality to our children” in order to meet some of the demands of intergenerational justice.
