Abstract:
This paper discusses the problem of the Judaic law regarding its form of promulgation. Starting from the Hegelian critique of the Judaic law in Hegel’s Early Writings, the paper tries to show the relationship between promulgation and writing of the law. In order to do that, it analyses several verses, on the one hand, quoted from the Book of Exodus (in particular chapter XX) and on the other from the Talmudic tradition. The aim of this exegetical analysis is to highlight a deep tension into the notion of the promulgation of Judaic law, which is at the same time a law given by God to Moses on the Sinai and a law written by Moses. The second part of the paper focuses on this double essence of the law, in order to show its own dispositive of «writing-promulgation».
