Pharmaco-EEG characteristics of Fipexide hydrochloride. A brain EEG mapping study in healthy aged people
Academic Article

abstract:
The CNS activity of Fipexide, a dopaminergic compound with a clinical psychostimulant activity, has been evaluated in five healthy aged women, by means of Computerized EEG analysis (CEEG), looking also at the vigilance- somnolence rhythm. The results indicate that Fipexide does not exert a stimulant activity in aged women. On the contrary, the drug increases the slow-frequency EEG bands suggesting, therefore, a sedative effect.
