Ragioni personali. Saggio sulla normatività morale

Book
Publication Date:
2008
abstract:
The book develops a critical analysis of the most influential historical models of moral normativity (Aristotle, Hume, Kant), of the most relevant critiques of morality (Hobbes, Hegel, Nietzsche) and of the contemporary debate on moral reasons. From the results of this critique the author draws a sketch of a theory of moral normativity as the search for "personal reasons". Moral reasons are authentic if they confront themselves with the Kantian principle of "non contradiction in the will". Only in this way the requisite for identity, i.e. for the framing of a unique personal identity, can be preserved.
