Abstract:
The finding of an abdominal mass in young patients, even occasionally, is one of the signs that best evokes a possible malignancy. We describe a case of splenic mesothelial cysts recently observed in an adolescent female 15 years old. The computed tomography with contrast was suggestiive with a diagnosis of lynfangiomatosic lesion. The video laparoscopy has allowed a better definition of the lesion, its relationship with surrounding structures and organs and, consequently, a minimally invasive surgical approach. Morphological and immunohistochemical study of the cyst wall confirmed the suspected diagnosis of splenic mesothelial cysts.
