FERRARI GIULIANA

Giuliana Ferrari is Full Professor of Molecular Biology at University Vita-Salute S.Raffaele Medical School, Milan, Italy. From 2001, Prof. Ferrari is Head of the Unit of Gene transfer into Stem Cells, at HSR-TIGET, Scientific Institute S.Raffaele in Milan. She had previously served as group leader in the same Institute (1996-2001), as Assistant researcher in the Gene Expression laboratory, Scientific Institute S.Raffaele (1989-1996), and as post-doctoral fellow at the Wistar Institute of Anatomy and Biology, Philadelphia (1986-1987). Prof. Ferrari is a member of the European Society of Gene Therapy (ESGT) and of the American Society of Gene Therapy (ASGT). She was Associate European Editor of Human Gene Therapy (1995-1997) and is a member of the Editorial Board of The Journal of Gene Medicine from 1999. She graduated in Biology at the University of Milan in 1985 and was awarded fellowships from the Wistar Institute Post-doctoral Training Program (1986-1987) and from the Italian Association for Cancer Research (AIRC) in 1988. Prof. Ferrari is author of over 80 articles on major scientific journals. She was born in Milan in 1961.
