The actual field of research of the proponent is clathrin-mediated endocytosis, in particular of synaptic vesicles. On this topic, a long standing collaboration was established with the De Camilli laboratory, where the proponent was hosted for more than 5 years. Results obtained during this period are briefly summarized in the background of the present grant application.
