Come si decifra il significato dei segni scritti su un pezzo di carta o su uno schermo? Perché a volte passiamo molto tempo a studiare un testo senza ricordare nulla? Perché ci capita di sbagliare compiti semplici, con i quali non abbiamo mai avuto problemi? I partecipanti scopriranno le risposte a queste domande cimentandosi in compiti sfidanti e discutendo le proprie esperienze coi ricercatori.

Objectives

This workshop aims to illustrate to students (from the age of 11) and adults, how basic learning and cognitive processes related to reading and writing work, particularly in stressful situations. Considering the experiences of the participants themselves, we will discuss what happens when "everything is fine", but also when there are difficulties. Through simulations, the participants will have the opportunity to put themselves in the shoes of a cognitive science scholar and his/her research
