Il kantismo cartesiano: Descartes e la Vorgeschichte del criticismo

The article aims to analyze the reception of the relation between Descartes and Kant in the Post-Kantianism historiography, with particular regard to the interpretations of Paul Natorp and Ferdinand Alquié. The first section of the article analyzes the presence of Descartes in Kant, detecting a paradox: despite several references in Kantian corpus, there is no direct quotation of the French philosopher. The second section focuses on the interpretation provided by Natorp, with particular attention to the central role played by the method in Cartesian reflection. The third section deals with the opposite interpretation of Alquié and it underlines the reasons, both theoretical and historiographical, that lead us to prefer this last approach.
