La scienza in politica. Il patto trasversale per la scienza in un contesto globale

The development of the scientific method in the western world has not only improved the living conditions of citizens but has also offered many important topics for the development of democracy. However, nowadays, although we enjoy many advantages offered by science, it is often criticized by some citizens and members of the political class, a mo-vement that many call science de-nialism or a crisis of competences. In the last decades, as in the case of vaccines, GMOs, global warming or fake medical therapies, it is beco-ming quite evident that the facts and methods of science have not always been able to influence the opinions of politics. In this article, we analyze some global solutions (science advisors, evidence-based policy-ma-king, nudge units, different forms of scientific associations) to create a good relationship between scientists and politicians, to then offer a focus on the Italian situation.
