Leibniz, os futuros contingentes e a unidade da potência divina

This article aims to analyze the status of future contingents and the extension of divine power in Leibniz’s thought. In the light of some references in Leibniz’s Essays of Theodicy, the article investigates the previous Medieval debate – with particular regard to the figures of Duns Scotus, Thomas Bradwardine, Gregory of Rimini and Robert Holcot – in order to underline the proximity between Leibniz’s reflection and the philosophical approach connected to Ockhamist tradition
